How We Work
The first step is to meet - in person if you are in the Denver area or by video if you are out of state - and get to know each other! During our meeting we will:
- Discuss your wishes and needs (or those of your loved one).
- Review documents and ensure everything is in order.
- Make lots of lists!
Our motivation at Denver Estate Executor is to help people during one of life’s most difficult times. We receive no compensation until the estate owner has died and their affairs settled. All preparation and meetings are free of charge.
Expenses
We discuss in advance what expenses may be incurred after death, such as:
- Moving and cleaning fees
- Funeral expenses
- Final bill payments
- Any home related costs until property is sold (utilities, landscaping, etc.)
- Professional fees as needed (such as attorneys or accountants)
- Probate court expenses
- Executor liability insurance
We keep in close contact with the beneficiaries to ensure that the above costs are kept to a minimum and secure approval where appropriate.
Executor Fee
Our fee depends greatly on the complexity of the estate itself. We agree in advance with our clients on either a flat fee or a % of the estate.
